Solubility of aspirin, ketoprofen and R-(-)-carvone in supercritical CO2 in binary, ternary and quaternary systems: Effect of co-solutes

To better understand the solubility of multicomponent systems in supercritical CO2, an situ IR spectrophotometer coupled to a high-pressure cell was used measure aspirin, ketoprofen and carvone binary, ternary, quaternary at 333.2 K 353.2 pressures between 5–30 MPa. DSC ATR-FTIR allowed measuring melting temperature compounds optical microscopy observe phases. Aspirin formed eutectic mixture with solubilized carvone, resulting enhancement its ternary systems. On contrary, higher binary systems, due decrease vapor pressure when solution. Finally, increased by presence other below 9 MPa, whereas conditions, decreased as result pressure.
